FAQ
If there's no alcohol, what's the point?
For many, drinking alcohol is often less about the alcohol itself, and more about the experience: celebrations, meeting up with friends, or unwinding after a long day of work. The decision to not consume alcohol shouldn't stop anyone from enjoying those special moments with a great tasting beverage in hand.
Is 0.5% really alcohol-free?
In Canada, any product containing less than 1.1% alcohol-by-volume (ABV) is considered alcohol-free because our body metabolizes that amount of alcohol faster than we can feel any effect.
More commonly world-wide, any product containing 0.5% ABV or less is considered alcohol-free.
Fun fact: many foods have some level of ABV due to their natural fermentation. Kombucha, breads made with yeast, overripe bananas, fruit juice, yogurt, soy sauces & vinegars can range from 0.2% ABV up to 1.2% ABV.
Can you get drunk from a 0.5% drink?
No, no matter how many drinks you might have at 0.5% ABV or less.
It’s almost impossible (rare health conditions do exist) for your blood alcohol content to reach 0.04% drinking these beverages. The main reason why your blood alcohol content can’t build up to a level that makes you feel drunk is because your body processes the alcohol in a <1.1% ABV beverage almost as quickly as you drink it.
Is it normal to still feel a buzz drinking alcohol free drinks?
For some people, yes!
Studies have shown that when consuming a beverage that has a mimicking flavour, dopamine levels will still rise as the body is expecting a certain response and behaviour. Much like when smelling or consuming something the body considers nostalgic, there is a still a comfort and feel good response from the body. That combined with the natural mood-boost we get from socializing is likely what's responsible for the slightly "buzzed" feeling.
Does Søbr Market offer wholesale?

Are these drinks pregnancy safe?
For the most part, yes.
While it's always best to consult your doctor if you're unsure, generally speaking products with 0.5% alcohol or less are safe to consume.
That said, we do not recommend consuming any functional beverages (those containing adaptogens and other active ingredients) during pregnancy. Functional beverages will all be labeled with the active ingredients they contain.
Are functional beverages safe for daily consumption?
Most functional and nootropic drinks are made with natural ingredients and are safe for daily use. However, effects vary based on ingredients and individual sensitivities, so it’s best to check labels and consult a healthcare provider if you have concerns.
