Buying Guide & FAQ — Vendor: Caddie

Expert guidance on taste profiles, ABV levels, ingredients, and delivery across Canada.

Why does it say 0.5% ABV?

Caddie is non-alcoholic beer, with less than 0.5% alcohol by volume. In Canada, drinks under that level are sold as non-alcoholic, and Ontario’s liquor laws only cover drinks above 0.5%. That trace amount is processed by your body so quickly that you won’t feel any effect. Similar trace amounts occur naturally in everyday foods like ripe fruit and kombucha. You can have one on the first tee and still drive home clear-headed.

If you need to avoid alcohol completely for medical reasons, pregnancy or recovery, check with your doctor first.

Does it actually taste like beer?

Yes. Caddie is brewed from the same ingredients as regular beer: water, barley, hops, oats and yeast. Breakfast Beer is a crisp, easy-drinking lager. Early Bird is a juicy session IPA with notes of gooseberry, white grape and honey. Each 473 mL tallboy has 60 calories. Not sure which you’ll like? The Foursome Mixed Pack has both.

Caddie started with a simple question on a Hamilton fairway: why does the beer cart never have anything worth drinking that keeps your swing sharp? So we brewed it — full-flavour, non-alcoholic tallboys made for every hole, from the first tee to the 19th.
