Missing Thorn - Albariño

Missing Thorn offers a white, a red, a rose and a sparkling, all of which are amazing. Aaron is one of the greatest winemakers the valley has, and his quest to bring the world an NA wine that looks, tastes and smells like great wine was much needed and appreciated.

Winemaking Process
The Albariño grapes are gently whole-cluster pressed to preserve their fresh aromatics before being cold-settled and fermented in stainless steel. No malolactic fermentation is used, allowing the wine to retain its bright acidity and crisp structure. Once the base wine is complete, an innovative low-temperature vacuum distillation process removes the alcohol while maintaining the natural flavors and aromatic compounds. As the removal of alcohol subtly affects acidity and sweetness, the wine is diluted with water and finished with natural flavors that complement the original Albariño profile, resulting in a refreshing, well-balanced non-alcoholic expression.

This 2022 Albariño pours a youthful light-gold hue, brimming with freshness and energy. Aromas of exotic lychee and passionfruit rise from the glass, followed by bright citrus undertones. On the palate, the tropical fruit notes take the lead, balanced by the zestiness of lemon and grapefruit. A touch of honeydew adds roundness and subtle sweetness, complementing the wine’s lively acidity. The finish is crisp, refreshing, and gently lingering.
